1. Who We Are

JB Academy of Aesthetics (“we”, “our”, “us”) is an aesthetic clinic operating as a limited company in Scotland.

2. Cancelation Policy

All JB Academy of Aesthetics’ bookings are subject to a strict 48 working hours’ notice policy to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

If the correct notice is not given, then the booking fee will automatically be forfeited. If patients have pre-paid for a course of treatments and fail to give 48 working hours’ notice to cancel an appointment, that treatment will be forfeited from the course.

3. Booking Fee Policy

A booking fee of £50 may be required to secure an appointment.

If the appointment is cancelled with less than 48 hours notice (or the patient fails to attend their appointment on the day), unless there are extenuating circumstances, the booking fee is non-refundable.

4. All Appointment Booking (including online)

The booking fee or ‘prepayment’ is non-refundable within the 72 or 48 (working) hours’ notice period. The only exception is if the patient is deemed medically unsuitable for treatment by the doctor or practitioner. Under these circumstances the booking fee may be refunded.

5. Refund Policy

Only if a refund is valid, and sufficient notice has been given, can a refund be issued.

6. Child Policy

In accordance with Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS) regulations, JB Academy of Aesthetics does not provide treatment to anyone under the age of 18 years. We kindly ask that no individuals under 18 years attend treatment appointments. If a child accompanies an adult attending the clinic, they must remain supervised at all times and will not be permitted to enter the treatment room under any circumstances. 

7. Birthday, Referral, Survey and Review Voucher terms & conditions:

  • These vouchers are non-transferable and have no cash value.

  • Vouchers must be redeemed within 90 days of the issue date.

  • Vouchers cannot be used against prescription products or treatments (Botox, certain Obagi products)

  • These vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers.

  • The £20 referral voucher will be applied to a patient’s account once the referred person becomes a paying patient.

8. Gift Vouchers

  • JB Academy of Aesthetics gift vouchers are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

  • Gift vouchers are non-refundable.

  • Gift vouchers can be purchased for a specific treatment or value.

  • Gift vouchers are strictly valid for 12 months from date of purchase only.

  • Gift vouchers can only be redeemed in clinic and not online.

9. Treatment Packages

Treatment packages (courses of treatments) are valid for 12 months and all treatments must be used within this time, or they will be forfeited.

Unused or part used treatment packages will not be refunded unless you are deemed medically unsuitable to continue by your Practitioner. In these circumstances the remaining value of your package can be applied to an alternative treatment, or the number of single treatments will be calculated, and the balance can be refunded.

Treatment packages are non-transferable to products.

10. Liability

It is the patient’s responsibility to ensure that he or she provide JB Academy of Aesthetics with all relevant medical details prior to each treatment. JB Academy of Aesthetics will not be liable for any damage that occurs as a result of the patient’s failure to disclose such details.

11. Consent

All patients will be required to sign an informed consent and agree to pre/post treatment photographs prior to undergoing any treatment. These documents are for insurance and legal purposes only. Photographs are not shared without prior patient consent.

12. Complaints

JB Academy of Aesthetics aims to treat all patients appropriately, compassionately and fairly. If, however, you have an issue with any matter in relation to your treatment at JB Academy of Aesthetics please, in the first instance, discuss the issue with the Healthcare Professional.

If a concern is not resolved informally:

  • Clients may submit a formal complaint in writing (letter or email) to the registered provider. enquiries@jbacademyofaesthetics.com

  • The complaint will be logged, acknowledged and investigated promptly

  • Clients will receive a written response within 20 working days or a progress update if more time is required

  • The outcome and any actions taken will be clearly communicated to the client

  • Should you remain unhappy with our final response or investigation, you may be able to refer your complaint to the Independent Sector Complaints Adjudication Service at iscas.org.uk within 6 months of the final response

13. Refusal of Treatment

All healthcare professionals have the right, at any time, to refuse treatment to anyone who;

  • appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol

  • are demonstrating abusive or violent behaviours

14. Changes to Terms & Conditions

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
