Polynucleotides and Biostimulator Treatments are often described as regenerative treatments because they help improve overall skin function and structure over time.

Polynucleotides are highly purified DNA fragments derived from natural sources. When injected into the skin, they work at a cellular level to:

  • Stimulate fibroblasts (the cells responsible for collagen production)

  • Improve skin elasticity

  • A course of 2–4 treatments, spaced approximately 2–4 weeks apart, is usually recommended for optimal results. Your practitioner will tailor a plan based on your skin concerns and goals.

  • Discomfort is generally mild. A fine needle is used, and topical numbing cream may be applied if required. Most clients find the treatment very tolerable.

  • Results develop gradually:

    • Early improvements in hydration and glow may be noticeable within 2–3 weeks

    • Firmer, smoother skin develops over 6–12 weeks

    • Collagen stimulation continues after the final session

  • Following a full course of treatment, results typically last 6–12 months, depending on individual factors such as age, skin condition and lifestyle. Maintenance treatments may be recommended once or twice yearly.

  • Downtime is usually minimal. You may experience:

Biostimulators are injectable treatments designed to stimulate the body’s natural collagen production over time.

Typically biostimulators are especially effective for;

  • Hyaluronic Acid (HA): Provides an immediate volumising and lifting effect by attracting and holding moisture in the skin.

  • Calcium Hydroxyapatite (CaHA): Acts as a biostimulator by encouraging the skin’s natural collagen production over time, resulting in gradual tightening, improved elasticity and increased skin firmness.
